I ve just put a set of Wiseco HC + Good head job and valve job with an engine refresh +some cams and other goodies, and all i can say, is i ll never sold my beast ...... i ve own a beemer but i sold it to buy a blade again ( my third ). The engine pulls like a train all rev range ...... i 'm waiting next month to dyno it ...... but i'm sure I've the same pic power i had on my beemer ( or more ... hihihihi ) but all before 10 000 rpm is bigger than beemer or ZX.....
Thanks mate. i put std size ( 76 mm ) , when i open my engine and see the space between the cylinder walls, i was afraid of our hot summer in South of France, i wanted a reliable engine with std con rods, so i decided to stay with std size. But in your ' fresh ' England, you can put +2mm ( 78 mm ) without issues of heat, and you can stay with stock con rods, they are strong, but open to open, i would put some Carrillo rods, they are beautiful ....
The BMW is a awesome bike...the slick setting is mental, whilst the wet setting calms the bike down enough to ride with ease...even makes a difference to the exhaust note...so should be ok with a.after market can and tracks that have noise limiters... My brother just bought one.. think little over £8k (11 plate with extra bits added)
Well done for keeping the blade for another season ,I personally think the honda is the better bike Just look at the results of last weeks WSB no bmw in the top ten and last years results of the TT , mind you it might be different at this years TT with that guy Dunlop on it !!!
