Ok enough about reg plates please, there is another thread for that thank you So I fitted the rear sets ........seems that their lowest setting is approx 2 inches higher than standard rear set position. There is no way I can live with that!! So it does state on them for track use only so they are track specific but I was hoping for a little bit more adjustability downwards than that I've tried loads of different positions and it's just not happening.....sending the buggers back after all, oh well Looks like my brake light switch problem which I had just sorted was a waste of time Plus side, I've polished up the standard rear sets up and they look pretty good so I'm sticking with them
Gutted for you Paul, but hopefully you're now happy with the standard set polished up. Track ones are set up to be too aggressive - bum in air, head down low. and with regards to private plates... only joking! Chin
I know, really annoying though as they were a nice bit of kit. I'll have a look out for some others but I'm not going to get some like that for £180.
So when I started my search for the R1, I wanted a totally standard original unmolested example..... And that's what I got. But when I took the windbreak of a 9x7 plate off and replaced it with an 8x6 the excess rear fender hanging down was just to much. I think I've made a good enough job though for it to pass as 'UNCUT' to the untrained eye Any more than that would be too much
It looks good. I think it could look better if you were to get it a bit thinner at the bottom...it would look a bit more unmolested. Tried to draw it but it’s a bit tricky on iPad
I hear you...... But if I'd started thinning it out and trying to get each side even is where it would have gone tits up...... In this case to keep the original undertray in place less is definitely more I'd get rid of the lot and put a tail tidy on it but the aftermarket undertrays available for these are truly shocking!!
That’s a long home to the Southern Badlands with a strange taste in yer mouth and in dire need of a toothpick
Nope..... Just stick them straight on, the soapy water trick is OK but I prefer to make some small marks with some tape as a guide, the rest is by eye
I think @Lozzy was trying to insinuate that your incredibly kind comment about my decal application technique was a little....... Bum licky She always has to bring rimming into everything does Lozzy Just ignore her ...... She gets like this when shes not a a good rimming in a while! Any takers??
