Don't listen to them Dan. That's a proper man cave mate. Most of the garages on here look like they're owned by women (sorry Nuts, yours is cool). I even saw one with net curtains the other day. No names. LOL.
Ive got curtains. dodgy purple ones at the minute but her indoors is making some new thick ones to keep the heat in and also putting the honda wing on them using some old paddock flags i had lying around.
Dodgy purple ones are okay. I'm talking proper voile ones here. I let the cobwebs do the job in mine.
Ha Ha I know mate I know LoL I actually have a triple car garage lol. but with the bikes thats all the space i have left Iv got 2 bikes for sale and I'm putting my big farm quad in a shed so as soon as they are gone I'm gonna re arrange the rest , Clean out my corner and knock up a decent bench with cupboards and get it all sorted . Its gonna be a mission but its gotta be done
Hi all Have been thinking about buying a few tools to do light work on the blade but have been unsure what I need. Can anyone give me a basic shopping list, yes i know Snap on are the best but I have: an ex wife 2 kids A live-in girlfriend who NEEDS shoes ! (Dont get me started on the shoes thing, expensive cars, bikes and watches I get but shoes, what is all that about) 2 cats Chickens A rat thats eating me out of house and dishwashers A field tractor A 2010 SLK A greedy oil burning boiler (no gas this far out) Fireblade insurance Planning permission to build a new house next year All of which have a claim on my hard earned. I am more interested in what type of tools ie yes metric sockets and spanners etc but are the funny looking fastners torque screw, hex sockets or allan key etc. Thanks Guys and girls
The average spannerman doesn't need Snap on, Halfords can supply what you need .A decent set of 3/8 drive metric sockets and combination spanners. A set of cranked ended ring spanners, a set of Allen keys, square and ball ended. A set of screwdrivers. A torque wrench. A big vice. I buy spanners from Lidl and Aldi and have never had a problem with em. Fair enough if you're a professional, buy Snap on!
Halfords pro helped me build a kit car and still in top nick 10 years later. not that expensive and good quality. worth looking at or going to machine mart and see what they have
Okay, I'm not going to involve myself in the handbags over Halfords here at all. I'm not a vehicle technician, professional or pro-sumer. I do believe in the right tool for the job but cannot justify, for my own, infrequent use the cost difference between the 'weekend warrior, if it breaks after 12 months I can afford another one' and the life time guarantee, despite being flogged to death, 24/7' holy grail tool options. That's it....No debate....Thats the way of the world....End of! But.... The illustrious Bats may have a point not even he, in his magnificence, has noticed. And it's this. Somebody at Halfords is stalking me. Monitoring my phone and real life conversations, hacking my emails. And what they do is this... Whenever I mention that I'm going to call into Halfords on my way home to pick something up, whether it be cleaning product, tools, additive or sticky tape, the bastard calls my local branch and has every unit of that item removed from the store so that there is always a gap on the shelf when I get there. A huge stock of everything else in the catalogue but not what I want. Then he replaces all the trained, experienced staff with ones that resemble a single huge pimple and are challenged to assemble a coherent sentence let alone assist you with stock availability and lead times. It's a conspiracy I tells ya.
Guy I dealt with in Halfords the other day knew the product, talked about it, showed it to me, offered to keep it behind for no charge, took it out to my car, put it in my car. Couldn't fault him or the service I got.
The time has come for me to lean the weight of my massive, real mans beer belly onto this thread and show you pussies some proper bloke kit like what I use.
Right listen mr!
