I get a funny hip randomly - its normally when i acelerate hard away from a standstil and pull my feet up on the pegs - it cramps to the point where i have to stop and get off the bike for 5 mins! Kinda defeats the object of blasting away from the lights! A buddy of mine gets it too.
It's not the trying to get the knee down that's not the problem. This can happen anytime as zeepony above said. Even pulling away out of the pit lane in a hurry it cramps up. I have tried drinking a lot of water and it helps a bit but ya end up spending more time in the jacks than out on the track.
Yep, me too. Several times had to abandon the bike at the side of the road and walk it off, get it down the front of the shin too like a shin splint. It's a bastard. Not as bad on the 'Blade as it was on the Ducati but you needed to be part Spider Monkey to fit that anyway.
Oh right, my hip aches on first coupe td when all I ares about was knee down, but that's not important now as it happens with slight hang off an more lean.... So I don't suffer as bad. Silly question, but do you stretch before each session??
I get the same thing after about 30 mins on the bike. Sometimes it wears off on it's own but sometimes I have to stop, get off and walk around a bit. My theory for my pain is that it is down to my rearset/peg position. I have the standards rearsets and my legs do not feel that comfy, the longer I ride the more uncomfortable I get and then the pain in the hip follows. I wonder if the legs being bent cuts off the circulation a bit around the hip area, as soon as I straighten my legs out the pain goes fairly quickly. I need to get a better riding position and thus am going to try to get some adjustable rearsets. In my case, I also think age is a factor.
I'm exactly the same regarding the cramps, intermittent even riding at a steady pace, gets worse if I straighten out my leg to try and ease it. I'm thinking it's my leathers too tight around the thigh affecting blood flow? That and the fact that I'm nearly dead lol.

I've just found it, it's the XR-1100 'Hadron'. Now discontinued. Think i'll see if I can find one locally to have a looky at. Cheers
