Well I don't often need to do much to the blade but over the past week I have sprayed my track fairing lumo yellow. removed and fitted it and looks great. ready for brands on thurs More info below http://1000rr.co.uk/threads/painting-my-track-fairing-myself.26921/ it's the first time i've had a go and spraying my own fairing and am very happy with the results. not bad for my first go
Been busy today on a friends blade, bit of a nightmare job with all the abs rubbish on it but pretty much there now. Fitted: Austin Racing decat can Power Commander 5 & O2 eliminator Removed the flaps in the air tubes Motodynamic rear light Motodynamic rear lower tail section. Just waiting on air filter to turn up to finish the job off.
If you mean the Nose Cone its Not dificult just a bit fiddly. If you mean the side fairings then it is literally 2 Allan bolts and slide it along to unhook from the air tubes.
Spent the afternoon fitting my new Power Commander V Got the tank off, which took ages. The fuel line wouldn't release, and needed some help. Also didn't help being full of petrol either lol. But massively made things easier. Dynojet's recommended Map was uploaded instantly, and on start up, it was idling a lot higher than normal. Must be working then. Fitted the O2 Eliminator plug, but bike had one already, but no harm in swapping them over. Then, washed it and cleaned my chain and sprocket. Loads of crap on wheels. Once dry, lubed the chain & wiped her down with some GT85 and she smells lovely.....
Took the bike cover off, brimmed the tank, checked tyre pressures and prayed for good weather tomorrow.
After waiting for ages to get out, finally get out today , cover 37 miles and get a puncture in the rear tyre up by Settle. Get home , wheel out and fit these nice Ti disc bolts. New tyre tomorrow.
Well, I washed a truck load of bugs off it, cleaning it lovingly, cleaning chain off with rags and WD, at which point my wife walked into MY garage, without knocking may I add, and she started shaking her head, then made a very foolish comment along the lines of me loving my bike more than I loved her.... I replied to her... "Some things don't need saying my love....."
